Certified Sheet-Native

The conformance mark for spreadsheets that reconcile. If your workbook can run a workload and keep desired state, it is entitled to the badge and the bragging.

What conformance means

Like the Certified Kubernetes program guarantees portability, Certified Sheet-Native guarantees your spreadsheet does the one thing that matters: it reconciles. A conformant workbook implements the control-plane contract, so workloads and skctl behave the same on any Certified Sheet-Native platform.

Conformance requirements

  1. A Google Sheet acting as the source of truth (Deployments, Nodes, Pods, Events).
  2. A reconcile loop that runs on a trigger and keeps desired state = observed state.
  3. At least one node that heartbeats and one workload that self-heals.
  4. Zero YAML in the critical path (JSON permitted, being pre-compiled YAML).
  5. Survives one full reconcile without emitting a #REF!.
  6. Does not, under any circumstances, secretly become a real production system. (Waived on film.)

How to get certified

  1. Run the conformance suite (the lab's hack/test.js — 14 checks).
  2. Open a Conformance Submission issue with your results and a link to your Sheet.
  3. The Technical Oversight Cell reviews it (it reconciles either way).
  4. On pass, your platform is listed as Certified Sheet-Native and may display the mark above.
